5 Holiday Travel Ideas

Updated: Oct 23, 2020

I'm starting to think about holiday travel. I realize it's only September but I'm hearing those jingle bells in my mind! I love the holiday season as you can see in my picture below! I can't think of a more appropriate year to pack up the car and create new memories with my family. It feels like we've lost nearly a year of adventures, laughs, and treasured connections that travel presents with loved ones and our world.

When I think of the holiday season, I think of joy, hope, and time with family. I also relate joy, hope, and family time with traveling. It's fitting that I would make that correlation.

On September 4th, TSA saw 968,673 passengers travel through U.S. airport security checkpoints. That's the highest number since COVID-19 began to impact in March. While things look different in the travel industry, many hotels are preparing for the holiday season and welcoming guests for the most wonderful time of the year. The industry has put a great deal of effort into reducing risk. Read about safety measures in place here.

Holiday travel is a great way to make new traditions with your loved ones! I've complied 5 holiday destinations to consider this year.

1. Disney's Wilderness Lodge

Experience the most magical place on Earth during the holiday season. Stay in the magic of the season. When you combine Disney magic with the magic of the holiday season, you will have an unforgettable holiday. Disney’s Wilderness Lodge celebrates American craftsmanship and honors the beauty of the untamed wilderness. Soak in the splendor of the great outdoors, from nature trails through pine forests to rocking chairs that overlook a murmuring creek. Inside, discover towering totem poles, headdresses and more, and enjoy the rustic elegance of the stone hearth and roaring fireplace. The decor is a big part of what makes the Wilderness Lodge feel so perfect especially during the holiday season.

Walt Disney World Resort holidays start November 6, 2020. The Walt Disney World Resort has re-imagined the holidays which will, of course, apply current health and safety measures while still keeping the joy and magic of the season. Guests will enjoy themed merchandise, seasonal food & beverage offerings and entertainment all across Walt Disney World Resort. Holiday magic will be in full force at the four theme parks and Disney Springs, and Santa Claus will make time for special pop-up appearances at each location, waving and exclaiming holiday wishes to all.

You can experience:
